BONDERITE® M-FE LS-1 is a spray/dip which removes laser scale and creates a conversion coating on steel and ferrous surfaces. It attacks light corrosion and weld scale, inhibits rust and provides a non-metallic surface increasing the adhesion and durability of paint. When used with a selected BONDERITE post treatment product, will improve paint adhesion and enable accelerated performance testing.Please note: BONDERITE M products are used in the surface modification of metals and usually applied in a multi-stage process. The performance of these surface treatments depends on various factors such as the preceding cleaning or etching steps (BONDERITE C portfolio), line design or process parameters.
- Can be applied by spray or immersion
- A major advantage is the shortened process which does not involve the traditional but hazardous acid pickle step
- Can improve paint adhesion and enable accelerated performance testing when used with a selected post-treatment product
