Leading the Sustainable Future With Henkel Packaging Innovation 2024

Global trends such as globalization, digitalization, climate change, and resource scarcity have reshaped our world, making sustainability a top priority that drives both business innovation and environmental protection.

In response, Henkel Thailand hosted the "Driving Sustainability with Henkel Packaging Innovation 2024" seminar on September 13 at Hotel Nikko Amata City Chonburi. As a leader in adhesives and coatings, Henkel acknowledges the critical role these technologies play in advancing sustainable consumer packaging. Our RETHINK PACKAGING solutions are meticulously designed to support customers in achieving their business and sustainability objectives, in alignment with emerging trends in packaging design.

The seminar attracted 70 attendees from 11 companies, bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders from the consumer goods, personal hygiene, and food and beverage industries.

One of the key highlights of the seminar is the showcase of Henkel's sustainable adhesive solutions for packaging & labeling products and palletizing solution. Participants were impressed by the company's commitment to sustainability and its innovative solutions.

Highlight Technologies at the Event Include:

•TECHNOMELT® Supra PS, an innovative palletization adhesive that makes your logistics process more sustainable via a significant reduction in plastic film/stretch film use.

•TECHNOMELT® Supra Cool, offering excellent adhesion at lower temperatures, providing a safe, sustainable, and efficient packaging solution for manufacturers.

•TECHNOMELT® EM RE, which supports the recycling of plastic drink containers without compromising label adhesion to bottle surfaces.

Special thanks to Mayuree Paklamjeak, Packaging Expert and Advisor at the Plastics Institute of Thailand, who, with over 40 years of experience in the packaging industry, shared her expertise on Megatrends and Global Packaging Trends for Consumer Goods. Her insights covered various packaging materials, including glass, metal, paper cartons, logistics corrugated cases, and plastic packaging. She also provided practical ideas to support sustainable packaging solutions.

The seminar also provided valuable insights into "Carbon Emission Principles for Sustainability," led by Anothai Sangthong, Director of Communications and Carbon Credit Registry Office at Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization. She shared key information on Thailand’s Roadmap to Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero GHG Emissions, highlighting the various topics and regulations that businesses must consider aligning with government policies. This knowledge supports companies in preparing for the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon economy.

Moreover, attendees benefited from insights provided by both internal and external experts and had the opportunity to participate in and enjoy a full day of engaging activities throughout the event.

Overall, Henkel’s sustainability strategy is dedicated to advancing a more sustainable future for the consumer packaging industry. By prioritizing Climate, Circularity, and Safety, we are committed to assisting brand owners in realizing their sustainability objectives. We are confident that, through collaborative efforts, we can contribute to creating a more sustainable future for generations to come. Sustainability, we make it happen!
