Key trends are impacting the aerospace industry
The increasing number of airline passengers flying around the world also means a growing global demand for aircrafts. The commercial airline fleet is expected to double over the next 20 years to meet the growing demand for air travel.
Over 48,000 new aircrafts will be needed to replace aging aircrafts and to support the growth in passenger traffic. OEM’s have been increasing production rates to meet this demand. This investment enables Henkel to support the record setting production rates of aerospace OEM’s well into the future.
Extending our footprint to new geographies
Henkel opened its new aerospace adhesives manufacturing facility in Montornès, Spain. This dedicated and cutting-edge production site provides valuable production capacity to support aerospace manufacturers and their suppliers as they prepare to meet record-high global demands for aircrafts, engines and components.
The Montornès plant is Henkel’s second aerospace adhesives manufacturing site, complementing their existing Bay Point, California facility. In addition to bring in added manufacturing capacity, this second site mitigates potential supply risks of having only one qualified facility as well as providing improved logistics for European customers.
Henkel offers leading technical solutions for surface preparation and bonding assembly of critical components throughout the aircraft. Henkel's investment in a state-of-the-art aerospace adhesives production facility in Montornès del Vallès, Spain, demonstrates the company's commitment to support the growing needs of its customers, and solidify its position as a leading aerospace adhesives supplier.
