Polyamide (PA) and Polyurethane (PUR) have traditionally been used due to their heat resistance and great adhesion to ABS, but they are not recommended for bonding PolyproPylene (PP). However, PP use is growing due to the lower cost of the polyme and manufacturers are facing pressure to find new ways to optimize costs.
Recognizing this challenge, Henkel has developed TECHNOMELT® AS 8383, a technology that allows multiple substrate bonding, has no drying step, and does not require flame treatment, among other benefits.
