LOCTITE® SI 5015
Features and Benefits
This acetoxy silicone paste for stamped flanges cures on exposure to moisture in the air to form a tough, flexible rubber gasket.
LOCTITE® SI 5015 is a blue, 1-part RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) acetoxy silicone paste, which cures at room temperature on exposure to moisture in the air to form a tough, flexible, silicone rubber gasket. This product resists aging, weathering, and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking. Ideal for stamped parts and safe for use with automotive oxygen sensors. Typical applications include valve covers, timing gear covers, differential covers, oil pans, transmission pans, water pumps, and thermostat housings. This product is typically used in applications with an operating range of -54°C to 204°C (-65°F to 400°F).
- Enhances load bearing & shock absorbing characteristics of bond area
- Gasket replacement or gasket dressing
- Temperature resisistant up to 204°C (400°F)
- Safe for use with automotive oxygen sensors
- Doesn't harden, shrink, or crack
