TEROSON® RB II

Known as TEROSTAT II

Features and Benefits

A multipurpose and multi-substrate, self-adhesive, permanently plastic-profiled, synthetic rubber sealing tape
TEROSON® RB II is a dark gray, self-adhesive, permanently plastic-profiled, synthetic rubber-based sealing tape for applications such as overlapping joints and the fixation of fenders. It's typically used in sheet and plant manufacturing as well as household appliance and air conditioning/ventilation manufacturing for sealing overlapping steel, steel sheets, aluminium, glass, and plastic constructions. It’s also proven effective in the automotive and vehicle industry, e.g. wing, floor area, trunk and cable lead-trough. It can be used for spacing and protecting against corrosion between steel and non-ferrous metals. It also serves as a vibration damper. It is used as an inner sealant (the sealed parts need to be fixed mechanically, e.g. by clamps, screws, rivets or similar) and it allows for re-opening sealed joints to perform service, repair or recycling. Due to its tackiness, TEROSON RB II adheres to most surfaces and is compatible with various substrates. It can be painted with conventional paints based on oil and synthetic resins and exhibits very good water and aging resistance. Before application, surface pretreatment with TEROSON® VR 10 is recommended.
