How to
Step by Step Guide
1. Preparation
2. Preparation - Activation
If cure speed is too slow due to passive metals (stainless steel, aluminum and plated metals) or low temperatures (below 5°C), use LOCTITE® SF 7649 activator. Allow to dry.
3. Application
Starting one to two threads from leading edge of pipe, apply a 360° band to cover at least three thread roots. For bigger threads, apply both on male and female threads. For manual dispensing the use of a peristaltic handgun is recommended to ensure a consistent application volume. (Recommended dispensing equipment: LOCTITE® Dial-a-Seal® Dispenser)
4. Assembly
Assemble fittings using wrench tightening in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations.
